“Relax and enjoy the view from your bed”
It’s true that during summer, the days are long in Alaska. But no matter what the season is, all you have to do is open your window drapes – and the breathtaking view will always be there! At Majestic View Bed and Breakfast, we have had 22 years in the hospitality business; this “seasoning” helps us recognize the details that make your stay a warm, relaxing, and comfortable one. We feel that we’ve organized a unique variety of living spaces that will fit almost any group, no matter how large or small. The Main House has the Rose Room on the upper level – the most romantic room, with the highest view, a jet-tub, and a private deck. The main level of the home has the Blueberry Room, with huge windows, a spectacular view, and a private bathroom. For the budget-minded, the Cottonwood Room doesn’t view the ocean, but sports plenty of windows, a clean and comfortable bedroom, and a private bathroom. Downstairs, at ground level, is the Bears Den – a kitchenette that views the backyard, ocean, and mountains; this is one of the rooms where guests have the best opportunity for being “up close and personal” with a moose, while still enjoying the safety of the home. Downstairs, opposite the Bears Den and separated by a hallway, is Moose Manor – an apartment with two bedrooms – one of which faces the ocean – and a gorgeously remodeled bathroom with a tile shower. Moose Manor is our largest space, and has everything your group needs for independent living, including private parking and entry. Near the home is The Cabin – which consists of two studios, the Halibut House and the Salmon Suite, both of which are kitchenettes, and share a deck with a grill and a magnificent view. The studios provide some added privacy and door-step parking, but still sport the ability to walk over for breakfast and mingling. Speaking of that, don’t miss the home-cooked breakfast that Maria whips up every morning. Enjoy lounging about the common space, inside or out. Come feel at home with us. And for the traveler who comes in the “off-season,” call for our significantly reduced rates October 1 through April 30. We have weekday rates and weekend rates. And always know that you can call Maria directly for the “best rate” – which you can enjoy by bypassing all the reservation systems which get a cut – some of which we are happy to pass on to you.
New for 2019 we have the “Maddox Road Property”. This is a home that is owned by a friend of Maria’s; it is currently vacant, and we are using it for “Overflow” when Majestic View Bed and Breakfast is at full capacity. This happens a lot – especially in July and August, so if you see that we are full, make sure and ask Maria about our overflow property. This property is a stand alone unit that easily sleeps 6-8 people, has a full kitchen, two bathrooms, decks, view of Beluga lake and the Kenai Mountains, and is in a little quiet neighborhood on the edge of Homer.
