When you want the best, you book the Rose Room. Romantic and lovely, this is the finest place to relax in your sweetheart’s arms, look over the tops of your toes, and see one of the most amazing views on earth!
Climb the carpeted stairs to reach the Rose Room – the only room on the top level of the home. On the way, you will walk through Maria’s personal art studio that sits at the top level of the stairs. When you enter the Rose Room, you will be happy to see that it has a romantic feel, and brand-spanking new barn doors leading to the bathroom and jet-tub; this is where our honeymoon guests usually wind up. With a king-size bed, twin bed, and sliding doors to a private balcony – you will have the best view in the house! The Rose Room also includes Wi-Fi, satellite TV, a DVD player, walk-in closet, mini-fridge, desk, and off-street parking. Make sure to come down in the morning for the most unique and delicious breakfast in Homer, made especially for you by Maria.
The view is unsurpassed! We stayed in The Rose Room. It was clean and comfortable. The hosts were very kind and knowledgeable, but the view: it was absolutely unbelievable! You can see the entire spit and the surrounding snow-capped glacier-filled valleys from across the bedroom windows and balcony. It was breathtaking. We loved that it was near Homer, but also out in the country. When you add everything else in, Maria’s Majestic View was a bargain.

The Blueberry Room

Calm and peaceful, the Blueberry Room is a guest favorite. Two walls of windows make this one of our brightest rooms, and those windows provide one of the most amazing views at our inn.
The Blueberry Room sits on the main level of the home. For those “social butterflies,” it is close to where the action is, yet privately placed behind two sets of doors. Large windows face the yard, ocean, mountains, and glaciers across Kachemak Bay. Two queen-size beds, new carpet, a private bathroom in the hallway, and a blue theme make this room one of our guests’ favorites. The Blueberry Room also includes Wi-Fi, satellite TV, a mini-fridge, and a closet; the room is wheelchair accessible, and has off-street parking. Make sure to come out in the morning for the most unique and delicious breakfast in Homer, made especially for you by Maria.
Majestic View sits on a hill above the town of Homer. We stayed in the Blueberry Room, and found it to be comfortable and spacious. The big attraction here is the view. From our room, we could see the entire Homer Spit, and the mountains and glaciers. The weather was spectacular, and from our room, we could see 180 degrees for miles. We sat on the deck for hours! If you like friendly, low-key hosts, good food, and a spectacular view – this is a real find. 5 Stars!

The Cottonwood Room

The Cottonwood Room is our most affordable room. Some room has to be on “the other side of the house,” right? Simplicity and nearness to the “activity center” make this room attractive. It is best suited for guests who prefer to focus on a good night’s sleep after a long day of travel or a busy day out playing.
The Cottonwood Room is beside the Blueberry Room, on the main floor. Just like the Blueberry, it gives guests the opportunity to interact and be near “the center of things,” but also has the privacy of being behind two sets of doors. The Cottonwood Room is one of only two rooms that doesn’t view the ocean, but it still has plenty of windows on two sides of the room that face our cottonwood grove – where our pet moose like to stroll. It’s also the most affordable of our seven living spaces. The Cottonwood Room includes a queen-size bed, a twin bed, a private bathroom in the hallway, a closet, a mini-fridge, Wi-Fi, and satellite TV; it is wheelchair accessible and has off-street parking. Make sure to come out in the morning for the most unique and delicious breakfast in Homer, made especially for you by Maria.
My family and I really enjoyed the majestic view from the huge deck that is just out the kitchen door. The Cottonwood Room was clean, quiet, and Maria is a delight! Her breakfasts are over the top; it was all so delicious. We also had Mary cook for us one morning, and she is a delight as well; very accommodating, fun, a great cook, and entertaining. There is a fire pit on the deck – which is a great place to sit at the end of the day to relax and enjoy the beauty of Homer. The views, the food, Maria and Mary are what’s great about the majestic.

The Bear’s Den

If you want privacy, you will want to stay in the Bear’s Den – which offers a ground-level view of beautiful Kachemak Bay, and a kitchenette – all in the main house. Recently remodeled and redecorated, this living space is made to please!
The Bear’s Den is on the lower level, just down the stairs from our main floor. It’s the most private of the five rooms in our main house. The ground-level view out the large window is amazing – especially if a moose chooses to walk by, which they do at some point almost every day. The Bear’s Den is a kitchenette, and serves the independent-minded guest well, but please keep in mind that our guests are always welcome to come up and experience Maria’s amazing breakfast. The Bear’s Den includes a queen-size bed, a twin bed, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, a private bath, closet, mini-fridge, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, blow dryer, and off-street parking.
My family spent two nights at this very nice bed and breakfast with an absolutely breathtaking view! Maria was so kind and welcoming, and we really enjoyed her breakfast. She sent us very clear instructions about getting to Majestic View, so we had no issues finding the place. An unexpected bonus was the sighting of a mother moose and her young calf in the yard – right outside our window!

This unique space is ideal for larger groups, longer stays, privacy, and independence. “The Aurora Room” has a full-size bed and a twin bed, and “The Fisherman’s Catch” has two full-size beds; both have fresh décor. Moose Manor has private parking, and a private entrance that is wheelchair accessible. Like the other rooms, it has the standard TV, DVD, and Wi-Fi. There is a discount offered if you don’t come up for breakfast – otherwise, come upstairs for the most unique and delicious breakfast in Homer, made just for you by Maria.
Breakfast was wonderful the first AM, but ours was a fishing vacation – which means up and out early in the morning – too early for Maria’s breakfast. On our remaining three mornings, Maria packed up some wonderful sack lunches and put them in an ice chest instead of breakfast; this was very much appreciated. We were referred to Majestic View by the Captain of our fishing vessel. We were finding hotels in Homer to be much more expensive. Majestic View B and B cost us less, furnished us our sack lunches, and was much more personal. I will stay here again on future fishing trips.
